Billy-Ray Belcourt (he/him) is from the Driftpile Cree Nation in northwest Alberta. He is an assistant professor in the School of Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. In 2021, his book A History of My Brief Body won the Hubert Evans Non-Fiction Prize and was a finalist for the Governor General’s Literary Award for Non-Fiction.

Eternity Martis (she/her) is an award-winning Toronto-based journalist. Her work on race and language has influenced media style guide changes across the country. Her bestselling debut memoir, They Said This Would Be Fun, was a “Best Book of the Year” pick by Globe and Mail, Apple, Audible and Chapters/Indigo, and won the 2021 Kobo Emerging Writer Prize for Non-Fiction.
