Storytime: Guest Speaker Lana Button
Today, we have the pleasure of having Lana Button leading our Storytime!
Lana Button is the award-winning author of more than a dozen books for children, which have been translated into 5 different languages, and have received the Crystal Kite Award, the Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Award and the IBBY Outstanding Book for Young Children. Her books have been highlighted in The New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. Lana has presented her stories and positive message on inclusion, empathy and resiliency to thousands of kids at festivals, schools and libraries across North America. Storytime is a literacy program for children ages 3 to 7. Each activity begins with the reading of a story followed by a craft inspired by its themes. Our objective is to foster children’s love of reading by providing fun, interactive activities that will encourage them to continue reading after each session.
All sessions are free and take place in the Library every Saturday starting at 10:30 a.m.
