Workshop Facilitator
Katharina Urbschat has been singing and exploring the art of choral singing since her early youth, conducting choirs in Germany and in Quebec for over thirty years. In her work, she is guided by the ideas of the Orff method and its principles of Elementary Music Education.
She approaches her choir members in an open and creative atmosphere where everyone can develop their innate ability to sing and hone their listening skills and vocal expression.
Due to her bicultural roots, Katharina especially enjoys creating and participating in intercultural concerts, workshops, projects, and events.
This activity is part of the Artistic Connections – Creating Intergenerational Bonds project that is made possible thanks to support from the Government of Canada.
