Book Quest (3-7): The Pigeon HAS to go to School
Once again, Book Quest is back for the summer! In partnership with the TD Summer Reading Club, this literacy program fosters children’s love of reading by providing fun, interactive activities throughout the summer season.
We are already at the end of August, and school is going to start again soon. After the odd year we have had, going (back) to school may appear daunting, but with this week’s story—The Pigeon HAS to go to School, by Mo Willems—you will see just how fun school can be! You will also get to show us what school furniture you use and craft a beautiful pigeon.
The Morrin Centre’s summer reading program for children ages 3 to 7 will take place every Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m., starting July 10 and ending August 28. Each activity begins with the reading of a story followed by a craft inspired by the week’s theme. All sessions are free and will take place on Zoom.
