Postcards from Quebec – Cultural Fairs – East Asia
The fourth event of the Postcards from Quebec series will take place at the Morrin Centre on December 17, from 1 to 3 p.m.. Join us to enjoy music, dance, and tea from East Asia, as well as a dance show by the Volent les papillons troupe! All activities are free.
Volent les papillons was founded by Yan Mu at the beginning of 2019. It’s a Chinese arts group that specializes in dance, songs and Chinese musical instruments to give performances. The group was named after the first dance of Yan Mu entitled “Les papillons” (the butterflies). It is an active group that has participated in many events already such as giving performances at retirement homes and at municipal activities as part of some international festivals. Their mission is to promote traditional Chinese culture that goes far back in history and is truly rich and interesting to discover.
