Quebec City – Following a popular and successful debut in 2014, the Morrin Centre’s afternoon teatime will return this summer, with the season’s first session taking place Friday, June 19 at 4:00 p.m.
Revelers will be able to sample traditional teas and cookies in keeping with Victorian customs and etiquette in the Morrin Centre’s historic library, which boasts a collection of over 20,000 books, and artifacts dating back to when teatime came into fashion. Teatime at the Morrin will be the opportunity to celebrate special occasions or to simply discover the English heritage that is part of Quebec City’s history.
Teas will be provided by Sebz Thé & Lounge, while cookies will be provided by Traîteur Buffet Maison. The bilingual presentations will take place at 4 p.m. each Friday, Saturday and Sunday through September 6, unless the Morrin Centre library is otherwise booked.
Admission fees for afternoon teatime are $12 for adults, $10 for students, and $6 for children 10 and under (all prices including tax). It is highly recommended to make reservations online or by phone (418-694-9147).
