Start your tour outside where our guides will show you markings from the past. Then, ramble through the sinister jail cells in cell block A5 where you can still see graffiti carved into the floors by inmates and the iron rings used to chain them down. Visitors will discover a hidden, dark and almost unknown part of the city’s history by exploring the building’s past, the life of its prisoners and the conditions of their imprisonment.
At the moment, this tour is available for groups only and reservations must be made at least 3 weeks (business days) prior by emailing the Guided Tours Coordinator between Mondays and Fridays (9 – 4 pm). Take note that due to the high volume of requests, it may take up to 48 hours to get a reply back.
